Production Techniques of Making Deflecto Stainless Steel Vents

At the end of each set of HVAC system, HVAC system integrators tend to install vents as per customer’s use, which is useful to prevent water outside flowing backward or prevent mosquitoes from entering indoor. The color and shape of the vents can be consistent with the design of the external walls, meeting the needs of aesthetics. Deflecto mainly offer dorm vents with different diameters, but there are three parts about its structures: spherical cover, straight duct and louver as well as filter screen. They are separately produced and assembled to be a whole products after butt-joint. It seems simple for every part, but it actually come into being after a series of complex procedures.

Take spherical cover as an example, there are 8 steps to produce it:

1. Raw materials preparation;

2. Cut stainless steel roll into small square sheets;

3. Make the square sheets into spherical ones after hydraulic punching.

4. Finish the irregular edges to make it a round circle by punching.

5. Drawbenching and polishing: make the spherical circle polished;

6. Do a top hole in the excircle of the semi-finished cover;

7. Punch 2 installing hole whose size is 4mm on the both sides of the cover.

8. After making the spherical cover, combine the other two parts: straight duct and lover together into a whole stainless steel vents.
